Hello. I’m a mother from Slovakia. I never thought I’d ask strangers for help. But life sometimes leaves you with no choice—and today, I’m writing this for my daughter. My parents died many years ago. They left me something no one should ever inherit: a mortgage with terrible conditions. I’ve been paying it for over 15 years… and despite everything, I still owe €35,000. We’ve done everything we could. But the house is now in execution. We’re at risk of losing it. No bank will loan us anything anymore. And every month, the debt feels heavier. I tried taking a small loan once to help with it, but it only made things worse. Instead of relief, I now carry an extra €5,000 debt. As a mother, my greatest fear isn’t that I’ll lose my home—it’s that I’ll die and leave these debts on my daughter’s shoulders. That when I’m gone, she’ll be the one forced to carry what I couldn’t pay. But she deserves better. My daughter is 18 years old. She’s been sick most of her life. Heart problems. Doctors once told me she needed surgery. I didn't have the money at the time.. all I could afford were meds. I’ve watched her fight through fatigue, pain, and medical appointments she pretends not to be scared of. She never wanted me to worry. But I always have. Despite all of this, she never gave up on her dream. She wants to become a game developer. It’s her world—her escape. She draws, writes stories, builds characters. She’s been creating quietly for years, teaching herself everything she could. I want to help her. I want to give her a future where her health and debts don’t hold her back. That’s why I’m asking for €97,600 in total. This is not a made-up number. This is the truth of what we need to reset: €35,000 to clear the mortgage (so she doesn’t inherit it) €5,000 to clear the loan that buried me deeper €7,500 for unpaid utilities, interest, and old debts €20,000 to finally secure a small apartment for her—her own safe space, where she can live and create €5,500 for her school fees—she’s on external study because of her medical needs, and it’s the only way she can continue €2,500 for insurance, transportation, and school materials €5,000 toward her medical care—not to cure, but to help manage the life she’s been given The remaining €17,100 would finally fund her dream: A strong PC and equipment Software and licenses Legal fees to start her own small game studio Marketing help Freelancers to help build what she cannot do alone She’s already working. Edit: Today, another debt was sent to my mail. Its in slovak but it says our flat is going into auction if we dont pay within a week. We need to live somewhere so we'd be very glad if you could help us.
