I’m launching a fundraising campaign here for this gravestone, which costs €1,960!

My grandfather was diagnosed with cancer last year; he underwent chemotherapy, which had to be stopped as he couldn’t tolerate it at all; glass beads were also inserted, but these had to be removed again. At the start of this year came the shock: the cancer is incurable; he has only a few months left – four or five at most, if that. He has several tumours on his carotid artery, which are being removed one by one to buy him a little more time.

My grandfather likes to plan ahead so that my grandmother doesn’t completely break down under the stress once he’s gone. He’s now asked for this gravestone, and I’d like to fulfil his wish as we’re just about managing to cover all the other funeral costs.

So I’m asking for help here!

Some of you may be wondering why I can’t cover the cost myself; I simply don’t have the means. I know how expensive a funeral can be, having lost one of my own children, and as I have three more children, it’s simply not possible for me.

I am extremely grateful for every donation, no matter how small, and so is my grandfather.
