His name is Milanko. He is 55 years old.

He has devoted his entire life to others.

For many years, he worked in a care home, where he was more than just an employee. He was the person who lent a helping hand when someone needed it. He was a smile on difficult days. He was a pillar of support for those who often had no one left. The residents loved him. His colleagues respected him. He never refused to help. He never counted the hours. He never expected anything in return.

And then... the day came that changed everything.

Out of the blue, he suffered a stroke.

In the blink of an eye, a strong, active man became someone who could no longer control his own body. The left side of his body was paralysed. Everyday tasks that were once taken for granted – standing up, taking a step, hugging someone – became an unattainable dream.

Today, Milanko is dependent on the help of others.

Alone. Without a family, without a support network, without security.

And yet he has not given up.

His greatest dream is nothing grand.

He doesn’t want wealth or luxury.

He wants only one thing:

To stand on his own two feet once more.

To walk through nature once more.

To feel the freedom of a simple step once more

To help others once more

However, rehabilitation, aids and care are financially demanding.

And that is precisely why he needs help today.
