I'm Matt (Mateusz), a Polish photographer, gamer, metalhead and lifelong JDM fan.

On the 20th of September 2026, while driving home from the Kanjo Nights event, we entered Gdańsk and were hit from behind by an unknown driver. The impact sent our car into the road barriers; we crashed, spun, and finally came to a stop. The other driver fled the scene. Thankfully the airbags deployed and kind strangers stopped to help. We walked away more or less unscathed, but the car itself was in worse shape than we were.

That car was far more than just transportation. It was a roughly 30-year-old Honda Civic — my first car and daily driver for six years. For half of that time I poured whole days into it with friends, tuning and modifying it until it truly felt like *mine* rather than a stock OEM machine. Losing it means losing both my reliable way to get around and a project that had become genuinely close to my heart.

The funds I’m raising will go entirely toward the down payment on a replacement — something a little bigger and safer, as I’m not getting any younger ;)
