SwimaBalathon – Swimming for Local Communities
SwimaBalathon – Swimming for Local Communities
Description
This summer, as Jóbuda Community Foundation, a community foundation dedicated to Budapest’s 3rd district (Óbuda), celebrates its 5th anniversary, I, the initiator and one of the founders of the foundation will swim 5.2 kilometres across Lake Balaton on July 25 to raise funds for our community grant program. I am taking on this challenge to support local projects, informal community groups, and civil organizations working to improve the local environment, strengthen community life, enrich civic participation, and put local resources to use for the common good.
The distance is 5.2 kilometres – or 52 sections of 100 metres. My goal is to find 52 supporters, each sponsoring one of those 100-metre sections. Together, we can help turn local ideas into action and provide opportunities for people and organizations to make a positive difference in Óbuda, Budapest.
Support the dream behind Jóbuda Community Foundation, and I will swim your 100 metres with you in mind.
Thank you!
Hajrá Zsuzsa, hajrá Jóbuda!!!
