Dear Donors

I am writing to you with a heartfelt plea for your support and help so that my family can begin renovating our dream home.

We are a large family; our situation is such that for many years we have been renting privately, which has incurred huge costs – and continues to do so even now. After all these years, we have been allocated a flat from the council housing stock, which requires a complete refurbishment; only once this is complete will we be able to move in.

We live on my husband’s salary and the child benefits we receive. Although we have high living costs, we are trying to do something about the flat, but we have a limited time for the renovation.

We have moved house many times, which has a significant impact on the children, and what matters most to us is providing our family with stability and a sense of security, and being able to put down roots.

I do not work due to my health; I have had cancer and am also receiving psychiatric treatment as I have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, which affects my emotional stability.

We are raising four children, two of whom have disorders: our eldest daughter suffers from developmental motor aphasia and has a mild disability, whilst our son has atypical autism and ADHD; both of them need more support than the others, though despite the difficulties we try to give everyone the same amount of attention.
