Every minute can make a difference when a person is missing or an area is hit by a disaster.
The Civil Protection Unit of the National Carabinieri Association, Rome Centre – ODV, operates with volunteers trained to respond to emergencies. We wish to purchase a drone equipped with a thermal camera to make our operations faster, safer and more effective.
This equipment will help us to:
• support the search for missing persons, even in conditions of poor visibility;
• assist in the fight against forest fires;
• map areas affected by floods and earthquakes;
• improve prevention, operational planning and the safety of teams in the field.
With everyone’s contribution, we can equip ourselves with vital technology to protect people, the environment and communities. Even a small donation can help our volunteers get to where they’re needed faster.
