Hello, I am an early retiree (55 years old) and have been living for almost a year in a garage belonging to a friend who has taken me in due to a separation.

I bought a pellet stove for the winter which unfortunately doesn't ignite automatically or switch off when it gets warm enough. As the workshop is on 2 floors (downstairs bedroom and bathroom - upstairs living room with kitchen area), the stove can only heat the upper floor. In the basement, the average temperature in winter was 12° degrees. This also causes a mould problem.

Unfortunately, my disability pension is not enough to put enough money aside to buy a stove to heat the downstairs.

I would have to save for the next 10 years.

Unfortunately, moving is also out of the question - deposit, rental costs, etc.

Apart from the heating situation, it's actually very nice in the flat.

If you could help me get one step closer to the stove, I would be very grateful.

I would prefer not to have to "beg", but I have terminal lung cancer and therefore can't do anything about the finances.
