Hello everyone,
Two years ago, I would never have imagined myself sitting here. You only realise just how difficult it all is when you find yourself in such a situation.
In 2023, I started working for my new employer. In January 2024, I fell ill. I was diagnosed with depression and PTSD. As soon as I handed in my sick note, I was given my notice.
I’m now living on sick pay. But as many of you out there will know, you don’t get your full salary. Since I can’t do either my main job or my part-time job, I’m trying to get by as best I can. I’ve tried walking dogs or doing other odd jobs to earn some money.
Unfortunately, I live in the countryside and it’s absolutely not easy here. I’d just like to have a bit of breathing space, so I don’t have to worry about my bank balance. But no matter where I look, everything piles up and I don’t know how to cope with it anymore.
Whether it’s the council, insurance companies or other firms you’d expect to help you... no such luck. Unfortunately, in my case, I’m not getting any support...
