This is my daughter, Kata.

Thirteen years ago at this time, she was just like any other young woman and mother.

Then, in 2014, she fell into a coma due to a hospital-acquired infection.

She’s trying to connect with the world.

But to do this, she needs your help too.

We are waiting for funding for a cranial flap procedure, which costs 1,600,000 HUF. The operation could improve blood flow to the brain, offering hope for an even more alert state of consciousness.

And we’re looking for funding for surgery in Barcelona to restore sensation, so that he can at least use his hands.

Over the years, we’ve used up all our savings. We can’t even imagine what it must be like to be trapped inside your own body, when everything is decided for you.

When you understand everything, you’re aware of your surroundings, but you can’t react – only sometimes do the tears flow.
