My name is Gábor, and my wife’s name is Kata. We are a newly married couple living in Hungary, and I’d like to share our story with you in the hope that someone out there may understand why we’re reaching out for help.

When I was just 17 years old, I was diagnosed with a form of cancer called Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which affects the lymphatic system. For many years, I battled this disease through countless rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and even a stem cell transplant using my own cells. It was a long and painful road, but by the time I turned 30, I was finally cancer-free.

And then, I met Kata — the love of my life. Despite everything, life gave me a second chance through her. We got married and dreamed of building a future together, including having a family of our own.

Unfortunately, due to the harsh treatments I received, my fertility has been severely affected. The only chance for us to have a child is through IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). However, this procedure is extremely expensive, and despite both of us working, we simply cannot afford it — neither on our own nor with the help of our families.

That’s why we’re turning to the kindness of others. With a heavy heart, but full of hope, we are asking for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to the miracle of becoming parents.
