Description

The water not only took away houses, people and animals. It also took away jobs, dreams and hopes for the future. Without people like Mr. Piotr, there will be no bread. His story is a cry for help from a man who does not want to give up - who is fighting for what he has been building all his life.

"I will tell you my dream," says Mr. Piotr - a man whose bakery was the heart of Stronie Śląskie for 30 years.

"My name is Piotr, but people call me Mr. Pączek. I run a bakery where every day we bake bread for the entire town and surrounding villages. Our donuts and blueberry cakes are known throughout the area, maybe even in the entire galaxy. We bake wedding cakes, which we deliver to the most beautiful days of your life. Each of us in this bakery has a task - the saleswomen serve you fresh baked goods with a smile, the confectioners create sweets, and our cleaning lady makes sure that everything sparkles, creating an everyday life full of warmth, work and hope.

"But suddenly I open my eyes and there is nothing. The water took everything away."

This is not a dream. It's a nightmare. The bakery that Piotr spent 30 years building no longer exists. "On September 15, black clouds hung over our town. The flood wave hit and took everything. The army now supplies bread, we have no drinking water, we have no electricity. People lost their homes, jobs, hope..."

Piotr lost his bakery - a place that not only gave him life, but also provided bread to hundreds of families. He lost the achievements of 30 years of hard work. "The pandemic knocked me to the ground for the first time. When I started to get up, another disaster came - cancer. Thanks to the support of my employees, Krysia and Agnieszka, I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I pulled this wheelchair with all my strength... And then the water came. "

"I am lying in mud, mud, rubble, among human tragedies, and my own tragedy is taking place next to me. Will I get up? Thanks to you, yes. I won't be able to do it on my own, without you all I will have left is the dream of my bakery."

Peter does not ask only for himself. I am asking for everyone who is waiting for normality to return. "People say that without donuts from Pączek, there is no Stronie. We had the opportunity to meet him - he is a wonderful, warm and good man who now finds himself in need.

Let's not let his story end in the mud, in the ruins of what he spent his life building. Let's help him get up, and together with him, let's uplift the entire community. With the money collected, we will rebuild the bakery - we will restore hope, work and bread. Peter deserves more than a reminder of what happened. Together we can give him back the life that the water took away.

Please don't be indifferent.
