Abolfazl is an 11-year-old boy from Iran, born with Dysmelia that led to the amputation of both of his legs when he was just 9 months old. Despite the odds, Abolfazl has grown into a bright, courageous, and resilient child. But while his spirit is unbreakable, the challenges he faces every day are unimaginable.

In Iran, there is very little support for children like Abolfazl, who need prosthetic legs to help them walk and live independently. Sadly, the only option for his family is to purchase the prosthetics from Europe, where they are incredibly expensive and therefore usually unattainable. This means that Abolfazl’s dream of walking on his own is out of reach—unless we can help.

Abolfazl’s mother, Zahra, has been fighting a battle of her own. Recently diagnosed with brain cancer, Zahra has undergone multiple surgeries, as well as rounds of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The cost of her treatment has placed an unbearable financial strain on the family, leaving them unable to afford the prosthetics that Abolfazl desperately needs. They are in a heart-breaking situation, facing both the physical and emotional toll of Zahra's illness while also watching their son struggle without the ability to walk.

But there is hope. With your support, we can provide Abolfazl with the prosthetics he needs to regain his mobility and independence. We are fundraising 12,000 euros to purchase these prosthetic legs from a reliable manufacturer in Germany. This will not only change Abolfazl’s life, but also help ease the burden on his family as they cope with Zahra’s health battle.
