Description
I was born with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a degenerative condition that affects the muscles and leads to the destruction of muscle cells. Those affected by this condition gradually lose certain muscle functions, such as climbing stairs or walking. In the final stage, the respiratory and cardiac muscles are affected, leading to premature death, usually around the age of 30. I was seven years old when I was diagnosed, and I witnessed the deterioration of my own body and the effects of my gradual weakening. This caused a great deal of suffering and pain for me and my loved ones. I am now 23, and a drug has finally been discovered that completely halts muscle wasting and allows me to live the full and normal life I have always dreamed of. Unfortunately, the drug is extremely expensive, costing over 1 billion forints. That is why I need to raise funds, and I am very, very grateful for all the help I receive. Thank you!
