I was born with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, which is a degenerative disease that affects the muscles, leading to the death of muscle cells. People who suffer from this disease gradually lose certain muscle functions, such as climbing stairs or walking. In the final stages, respiratory and heart muscles are lost, leading to premature death, usually around the age of 30. I was 7 years old when I was diagnosed and witnessed the deterioration of my own body and the effects of gradual debilitation. This caused me and my loved ones a lot of suffering and pain. I am now 23 years old and a drug has finally been discovered that will completely stop the muscle breakdown and allow me to live the full and normal life I have always dreamed of. Unfortunately, the drug is extremely expensive, costing over 1 billion forints. That is why I have to fundraise and I am very, very grateful for all the help I receive. Thank you!
