Description

Hello and thank you for clicking on this.

I would like to share a story of mine. It is a long story, but the worst part has happened more than 2 years ago. When I was fresh 33 yo. And to this very day, I am still trying to solve the situation.

My Journey with Hernias and the Struggle for Proper Care

After years of lifting heavy objects, I eventually discovered that I had two abdominal hernias, which went undiagnosed for a long time. These hernias slowly impacted my intestines and put pressure on my veins, leading to serious blood flow issues in various parts of my body—affecting even my reproductive health.

The healthcare system let me down multiple times, sending me away without a proper diagnosis or any thorough examinations. It wasn't until I finally managed to get an ultrasound that one of the hernias was detected. Although it wasn’t immediately life-threatening, it took nearly two months before I could get surgery. I thought things would get better, but they discovered a second hernia, which meant another surgery. All that pain, the financial strain, and the loss of both my social and work life—I was still holding onto hope that I could somehow turn things around.

But here I am again, fighting. For the last two months, I've been searching for answers. After my second surgery, I had an accident and a strange feeling that one of the hernias had returned. The doctor who performed the surgery laughed it off, telling me it wasn’t possible and that I simply needed more pain medication—an expensive and ineffective solution.

Desperate for answers, I sought the help of another doctor and managed to get another ultrasound. The results were heartbreaking. They revealed a recurring hernia and a damaged plastic mesh—used to repair the hernia—that wasn’t properly attached, causing me even more pain.

Despite this, the doctor's response was more pain medication and more waiting. Waiting for what? For the mesh to fully tear apart and for my health to deteriorate even further?

Thanks to yet another doctor, I’m now waiting for a CT scan and likely another surgery, which will mean more months of recovery time. I’ve exhausted all the benefits the government can provide, and I'm unable to work because of the crippling pain and health issues. Even a short walk is painful, but I'm grateful I can still manage those.

I just want my life back. I want to live again, to work, to feel happy and healthy. This has been an incredibly tough journey, and I feel like I’ve gotten all the support I can from those around me, but I also feel like a burden.

I need time to heal properly, but while I recover, I also want to better myself. I know I won’t be able to work as hard as I once did, but I’m determined to try.

My dream is to take a government-certified course and become a food nutrition specialist. I’ve had a passion for food and cooking since 2001, when I began my own weight-loss journey. I managed to lose 45kg by understanding food, additives, and incorporating exercise into my life. This is the path I want to follow, and I believe it will help me reclaim my future.

Longer version is probably for a private long chat.......
