Description
One of Art Kingdom Dance Community’s longest-standing competition groups is the AK Napoleon formation;
AK Napoleon is a dance group comprising amateur and professional dancers, whose main focus is international competition.
Since 2017, they have achieved numerous outstanding results in Hungary and across Europe,
including:
- Fusion Dance Contest 2017 – 2018 – 2019 – 2024 – 2025 – 1st place
– World of Dance TV Show – 2017 – 3rd place
– World of Dance Germany – 2023 – 1st place
– World of Dance Poland – 2024 – 1st place
They were the first Hungarian team to qualify for the World of Dance final in Los Angeles in July 2025.
The team’s mission is to use their performances to draw attention to important social and health issues and to give a voice to those who find themselves in vulnerable situations.
Self-development is of paramount importance to the members: they are constantly seeking new inspiration and strive for improvement not only as a team but also as individual creators.
On Saturday 11 April 2026, the team will present their latest vision for upcoming competitions during a two-hour performance, and will also showcase some of their own choreography during the evening.
The evening is partly aimed at raising funds for competitions abroad and for the rehearsals themselves, which come with such challenges.
Since 2020, property prices have been rising ever more sharply, and unfortunately, so have the costs of rehearsal spaces for the dancers.
Many people are unaware of this, but a single weekend rehearsal often costs the team 60–80 thousand (!) forints, so the full run-throughs required to prepare for a major competition can cost several million forints.
The team would like to raise the funds for these rehearsals at this event so that they can once again represent Hungary with pride at international competitions this year, specifically at the HipHop Kingz competition in the Netherlands in June 2026.
We have launched this fundraiser so that those who, for whatever physical or other reason, are unable to attend the gala evening but would like to support the team’s future work, can send their support.
