Dear Friends and Co-Parents,
We have four children, three pets and a house that is starting to resemble a second-hand toy shop after a hurricane. Seriously. Something had to be done about it - for the sake of our psyche, order and the planet.
That's why we're announcing our new family birthday policy. It's not about being 'eco-savvy' or making excuses - it's about not going crazy and teaching the kids to value quality over quantity.
One decent gift instead of a mountain of trinkets
Instead of ten toys that are interesting for five minutes, choose one thoughtful gift that will really bring joy. Perhaps something that can be personalised, repurposed and something that the child will love for a long time.
