Who are we?

We are a team and a family gathered around a common vision in Split and Dicmo. Our project is led by Milan Čorić, an aeronautical engineer and airplane pilot. Milan's professional flying career was suddenly and unfairly stopped at the very beginning by the bureaucratic system, precisely at the time when, as the president of the humanitarian association "Croatian Wings of Hope" (Wings of Salvation), he wanted to put his life and piloting knowledge at the disposal of free transportation of humanitarian aid, medicine and medical supplies to third world countries.

Although life has not been kind to us and although human injustices have crushed our professional dreams, they have not broken our spirit or our faith in God. My life partner Anita and I, together with our closest friends, have decided to invest the remaining energy, knowledge and land that I inherited in Dicma a few years ago in creating something completely independent, pure and noble.

With our own hands and in the light of day, we are building the MMMC – Wisdom & Peace of the Mediterranean Compound project. It is a vision of a family, educational and humanitarian oasis that refuses to depend on a fixed system, with a clear goal: to lend a hand to those forgotten by society.

Why are we asking for your support?

The previous work on the arrangement of wild terrain and off-road trails was only the first phase. Now we have before us a much deeper and nobler mission, for which we urgently need the help of people with a pure heart:

* 1. Therapeutic sanctuary for children with disabilities (especially on the autism spectrum): We want to arrange part of the camp as a sensory park and a peaceful green oasis. Nature, the silence of Zagora and structured activities are ideal therapy for children on the autism spectrum, for whom the public system chronically lacks adequate content and adequate care.

* 2. Free accommodation for low-income parents: The regional hospitals in Split are the center where parents from the entire region (from the islands, the interior and other cities) bring their children for long-term therapy, examinations and treatment. These people, already broken by caring for a sick child, often do not have the financial means to afford expensive accommodation. In our camp, we want to complete accommodation and sanitary facilities that will be completely free for these families – a place where they can sleep, shower and receive warm family support without any charge.

* 3. Education, discipline and adrenaline rush: Our training ground and obstacles have an educational character. Through them, we teach young people discipline, teamwork, coping with crisis situations and survival in nature. Instead of on the streets, adrenaline rushes here under professional supervision and is channeled into positive and useful energy.

What does your money go to?

The campaign's results so far have been modest because the wider public has not recognized the deeper purpose of the camp. Your donation here does not go towards luxury, but directly towards the purchase of building materials for:

* Completion of accommodation houses/residences for parents who bring children for treatment

* Construction and equipping of clean sanitary facilities (showers, toilets, water connection)

* Arranging sensory trails for children with developmental disabilities

This is a project that grows out of a pure Christian ideal and love of neighbor. We do not gather crumbs in the dark; we build a refuge in the light of day, relying solely on human solidarity and God's providence.
