I've never done this, nor have I needed to until today.

I'm Luis, I'm 37 years old and I'm from Portugal, since December 15, 2024 I had a serious motorcycle accident while working as a fast food courier in Portugal, I'm on sick leave from work insurance that only pays me the base amount of the company I'm hired by (Telepizza SA) and a minimum amount of 300 euros.

I've always been an IT technician, but the Portuguese state says that's no reason to be at home.

I have a left knee with mini fractures and 3 torn ligaments, which in turn will need to be operated on for reconstruction. I have documents from MRI scans and medical reports to date to prove everything I'm saying.

I'm only doing this for one purpose, to ask for help to pay the rent arrears on my house and also for the necessary treatments for my recovery.

I have a family with 2 teenagers, and I don't know what I can do not to lose everything we've built since 2012.

My wife has fibromyalgia and some health problems, which affect her work. She has tried to ask for help from social security, from long-term unemployed support, and they have turned her down.
