My name is Stefano, and I am reaching out with an open heart to ask for your help. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a condition that has progressively affected my ability to walk. In the past year, my situation has worsened, and now I rely on crutches to move. Even with assistance, I can no longer walk more than 100 meters.

Due to the severity of my condition, I was granted a 100% disability rating under Law 104. However, about two weeks ago, the licensing commission, as part of their regulations, revoked my driving license. I now need to obtain a special license with hand controls installed in my vehicle in order to continue driving.

While I am still fortunate enough to have a job, I am unable to go to work until I have completed the necessary steps to drive again. This includes obtaining the special license and modifying my car with the required hand controls. Unfortunately, I am currently facing financial difficulties, and as a result of my divorce and past financial challenges, I am unable to cover the costs for these essential changes to my life.

This situation has created an overwhelming sense of uncertainty, and I am at a crossroads. Losing my job would not only impact my livelihood, but it would also diminish my ability to maintain my independence and dignity. That’s why I am reaching out to you today, as I cannot navigate this challenge alone.

Why I Need Your Help

The total cost for obtaining the special license and adapting my car is substantial, and without this assistance, I could lose my job, which would make it even harder to support myself and continue living independently. Due to bureaucratic delays, it will take at least two months to complete everything—but with your support, I could shorten this time and get back on track much sooner.

Being able to drive again is not just about convenience—it’s about regaining my independence, the ability to care for myself, and the ability to keep doing the work that I love. Without the support I’m asking for, the future feels uncertain, and I’m scared that I may not be able to provide for myself anymore.
