Description
Kira had been left on a mountain road for three weeks, just after Christmas in the cold. She was shivering and dragging her paralysed little leg. I couldn’t just leave her there. She wouldn’t have had a chance of survival. So I took her in. A few metres away from her, another cry. Her little sister. I took her in too. Dora is healthy. There followed many trips and treatments at the vet to save their lives in the initial phase. The paralysis can be resolved with an operation that can be performed now. It wasn’t advisable before she had finished growing. She deserves a normal life too; she’s a soul. But it’s too expensive for me, as I also have two school-age children whom I support solely on my salary.
