I live alone with my 14-year-old daughter and our 3 dogs. We live in a house that has been classified as indecent and we have to leave because the owner has put it up for sale. I only work part-time because I have severe chronic renal failure and rheumatoid arthritis.

So I went to see a social worker to find somewhere to live, but she refused to help me until I got rid of my dogs (which are part of the family).

She told me that to find accommodation I had to get rid of the problem (my dogs)!

We live in a region where rented accommodation is in short supply. Unfortunately, there's more demand than supply and rental prices have rocketed.

We'd like to be able to buy a small place of our own so that we can look at the future differently and, above all, so that I can approach my dialysis with fewer worries about housing.

My daughter is home-schooled, and we've discovered that she has autism spectrum disorder. If we find ourselves without a home, she won't be able to attend her classes.
