For almost two years now, I have been fighting, trying every possible avenue to get my two youngest children back, who were taken abroad by their father in the summer of 2024. The fact that I have sole custody and that he has been sentenced to prison in Sweden does not help. I want nothing more than for us to be a family again. Legal proceedings in Sweden and Switzerland are not only mentally draining, they are also very expensive, and I have reached the point where I can no longer afford it, yet I cannot bring myself to give up my children.
But perhaps something is finally about to happen; it seems that the social services in Switzerland are taking my concerns for my children seriously – a relief, yet at the same time a source of anxiety. Once again, everything has to be translated, and it must be done by a certified agency – how am I supposed to cough up 13,000 CHF? And that’s just the start; I don’t even want to know where it will end.
I don’t want to give up; what if this really could bring my children home ❤️
