They say that every end is a beginning. I have now reached a point where the burdens of the past – the accumulated debts and the lack of hope – have built a wall between me and my future. A wall that I no longer have the strength to tear down alone.
It is not easy to ask for help. For a long time, shame and silence were my companions, but I have realized that to start over, sometimes you need a helping hand to pull you out of the pit. Now I am not just collecting money. I am collecting opportunities. The opportunity to sleep peacefully again, so that checks and arrears do not determine my everyday life, and so that I can finally not just survive, but start living.
Every forint I receive from you is a brick to tear down this wall. The price of a coffee, a share or an encouraging word can now mean freedom to me.
