A mother’s plea for help – The story of Lili and our little family

Dear Reader!

It is with a heavy heart, but also with hope, that I turn to you. I am a single mother raising my 10-year-old daughter, Lili, who lives with severe to moderate autism and an intellectual disability. Lili is a special little soul whose every day is full of challenges, yet she gives so much love.

Due to her condition, she requires ongoing assessments, therapy and medical care. She is currently a part-time student, as her health and capacity allow.

At the end of 2024, my own life took a difficult turn: I suffered a spinal injury and a leg injury, which have since been accompanied by severe pain and ongoing medical examinations. My health makes everyday life difficult, as well as finding employment.

Our little family also includes three rescued cats, who are not only our companions but also our emotional support during difficult times. They are part of our family too.

We have now reached a point in our lives where it is very difficult to carry on without help. Meeting our daily living costs, medical expenses and the necessary care is becoming an ever-greater burden.

That is why I am turning to you now: if you are able, please help us with whatever small amount you can spare. Every contribution is a huge help to us and brings us closer to being able to keep my little girl and our family safe.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every donation and for sharing this post!

With love: A mum and her little girl, Lili – and our three rescued cats
