Description
Help us get BabaData to as many parents as possible :emoji-1f499:
I started looking for the right app even before my little girl was born.
I knew we’d need something to keep track of daily tasks, such as feeds, vitamins, nappies, etc.
But I couldn’t find one that really suited us.
Most apps were full of adverts.
Others were paid apps, or even basic functions required a subscription.
And none of them gave me the peace of mind that a parent really needs.
As I’m a software developer, I eventually decided to build one for us.
And so BabaData was born
I had finished the basics of BabaData by the time my little girl was born, and the app continued to evolve in parallel with her development and the needs that arose in the meantime.
I originally developed it for my wife.
I wanted to give her an app that was simple, straightforward and genuinely helpful in her day-to-day life.
No adverts and no distracting elements or features.
Why is this important?
When you’re tired, even the smallest things can easily slip your mind.
A forgotten vitamin.
A recurring symptom you don’t notice in time.
A pattern that could help you identify a sensitivity or allergy.
BabaData helps with this.
By ensuring that:
- keeping all important data in one place
- make connections visible
- there is less uncertainty in everyday life
This isn’t just convenience — it provides peace of mind.
What BabaData has achieved so far
- More than 630 babies are currently being tracked in the BabaData system.
- It includes numerous features not even found in paid apps
- Export option for doctors
- Customisable access for grandparents
- Tablet interface for monitoring sleep
- Available from the Android Store
And what matters most to me:
parents love it and use it.
Not because of adverts.
Not because they have to.
But because it provides real help.
It started as a parental need — and has now become a practical, much-loved tool.
Why am I asking for your help now?
BabaData is deliberately free and ad-free — and I want to keep it that way.
I find this organic growth amazing; it’s mainly thanks to a few videos on TikTok that led to this large user base, but I feel it has reached its limits and it’s time to launch an advertising campaign so that it can truly reach everyone.
On top of that, iOS development will be a major undertaking, so that the iPhone community can also use the BabaData system via an app. Currently, 47% of our users access the web version via iPhone, so this will be an important step towards ensuring a user-friendly experience.
From one parent to another
It’s important to emphasise that I’m not building a company!
I want to give parents a tool that really helps them through the toughest times.
If you also think there’s a need for this —
or if BabaData has already helped you —
please support the project.
Thank you for your help :emoji-1f499:
