We are Ray and Sigita, and we are the parents of a wonderful 4-year-old girl, Arana.

On November 1st, 2025, our lives changed in an instant.

While playing like any other child, Arana suddenly collapsed due to a brain hemorrhage caused by a previously undetected congenital vascular malformation. There had been no warning signs.

She was rushed into emergency brain surgery. For a period of time, doctors told us her chances of survival were about 50/50.

Those were the most terrifying hours of our lives.

Miraculously, Arana pulled through.

She spent five days in the ICU and another eleven days under close hospital care. The hemorrhage severely affected the motor function on the left side of her body, leaving her unable to move her left arm and leg at first.

But something incredible happened during her recovery.

Despite everything she went through, Arana never lost her spirit.

Her mind, personality, and joy remained completely intact. She smiles, laughs, and approaches therapy with determination that amazes everyone around her.

Since beginning neurological rehabilitation, she has already made remarkable progress:

• She has learned to walk independently again
• She is even trying to run and jump
• She is slowly learning to use her left hand again

Every small step forward feels like a miracle.

Recently, doctors completed additional testing and confirmed something we had been praying for: Arana is now out of danger and no further brain abnormalities were found.

However, her recovery journey is far from over.

Children’s brains are incredibly adaptable, but recovery from pediatric hemiplegia requires specialized neurological rehabilitation to help rebuild motor pathways and regain function.

The most effective programs involve intensive physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and specialized hand therapy, often delivered in multi-week rehabilitation programs at dedicated pediatric centers.

Unfortunately, many of the best programs are private and not fully covered by public healthcare.

As parents, we are doing everything we can to give Arana the best possible chance to regain the use of her left arm and hand and live a full, independent life.

The funds raised through this campaign will help cover:

• Specialized neurological rehabilitation programs
• Physiotherapy and occupational therapy
• Travel and accommodation for rehabilitation centers
• Ongoing therapy needed for her recovery

Arana is a joyful, energetic child who loves to play, explore, and laugh. Her courage and determination inspire us every day.
