Hello: We are Renate Huijsmans, Suzanne Harwig and Joyce Laurenssen and we are almost finished with our medical studies. From December 2024, we will do our final internship at the mission hospital in Sengerema in Tanzania. Healthcare in Tanzania is a lot less well organised than we are used to. That probably won't surprise you either. But we do see that you can achieve great results with relatively small aid actions. That is why we would like to launch the following aid campaign:

In the delivery rooms at the mission hospital in Sengerema in Tanzania, some 10-15 women give birth every day. The women have little opportunity for antenatal check-ups during their pregnancies, so they do not know how far along they are, whether the baby looks healthy, whether it is 1 or 2 babies, where the placenta is and whether there are any other abnormalities. As a result, by no means all pregnancies and deliveries go smoothly and we often end up in emergency situations unnecessarily. An ultrasound machine could allow us to recognise problems at an earlier stage or during such an emergency situation and act more quickly. However, there is no ultrasound machine in the delivery rooms but we do have one in mind! This ultrasound machine is for sale in Mwanza, a town nearby. The only thing left for us, however, are the financial resources. Hereby we ask for your support and help.

How much

Converted, we need about 1,600 euros. Since this hospital is short on almost everything, we have set our goal at 2000 euros. It would be great if we can reach this goal! On behalf of the future mothers from Sengerema, thank you in advance for your support.
