Hello everyone,

I am a Portuguese mother of 4 children and I am in a difficult situation. I used to live in Germany, I came back almost 7 years ago because it was difficult to keep in touch with my children when they lived with my mum and always worked against me not getting anything done, and I was constantly in therapy because of my post-traumatic stress disorder. I thought it would be easier to get my children back to me. Unfortunately, it's not what I imagined and it's really difficult to make ends meet here as a single mum. You hardly earn anything here, because I always have to take on part-time jobs as I have no one to leave my child with. I would now like to return to Germany, as I have done for years, to be with my children and have a better chance of leading a good life there and being with my children. I only have my 2-year-old son with me, and the other 3 with my mother, who doesn't want to support me, as she always has.

Unfortunately, I have no money to cover the costs of my return and the first few months in Germany. A friend of my mum gave me a place to stay for the initial phase. I am very grateful to her for providing a room for me and my toddler. and that is why I now have the courage to realise this call for donations 🙏

I need help to support my children and myself until I can apply for and receive child benefit and education allowance, and get a job and a flat.
