My mum passed away two years ago at the age of 53 after a long illness. My dad has been working ever since she died, because before that he was the one looking after her and couldn’t work. We’ve always struggled. My dad is 60 and a bricklayer, but the work is really taking its toll on him now; his shoulder is completely worn out and his knee is down to the bone.
He limps. He works, but it’s a real struggle for him. He’s had a minor stroke and his aorta is 1.2mm wider than normal; I’m terrified at the thought of losing him too. I need any help I can get to get him the operation and for his post-operative care. I’ve lost my job. Please help me. I’m desperate. I’m also willing to do any kind of work, but I’m in Molise, and unfortunately there are no jobs to be found here.
