On October 26, 2025, a tragedy occurred in the Philippines that took the life of the woman I loved, my fiancée Joyryn Padinas. She left behind four children in a state of fear, danger, and helplessness.
Joyryn and I built a very close, mature, and stable relationship based on trust, support, and daily presence. I have been present in her life and the lives of her children for a long time—they knew me, trusted me, and treated me like family.
After their mother's death, it was they who asked me not to leave them and to become their guardian, their "father."
Today, I am fighting to bring these children to Poland, adopt them legally, and provide them with a safe, stable home.
⭐ IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CHILD PROTECTION
For security reasons and due to the ongoing adoption procedure, I cannot reveal the real names, faces, or any personal data of the children.
In this fundraiser, I use pseudonyms and symbolic photos, in accordance with the law and the standards of ICAB, KOA, and child protection regulations.
Who was Joyryn Padinas? Joyryn was a mother of four, a woman deeply committed to helping others. She ran a foundation supporting the treatment of seriously ill children, worked in charity, supported the local community, and was known for her kindness.
For years, she was also a victim of violence at the hands of her ex-partner. After she left him, he began to destroy her company and foundation, obstructing everything she tried to do. He was influential; he was even able to seize bank accounts belonging to the foundation and Joyryn’s company.
On October 26, 2025, she was attacked and fatally stabbed in her home in Talisay City. Her children were witnesses to the tragedy. Their mother was murdered by her ex-partner, who is their biological father.
The perpetrator of this tragic event is in custody; however, local lawyers and services responsible for the family's safety have informed us that the trial will be long and requires special protection until its conclusion. Therefore, it is necessary to provide professional legal assistance and additional security for the children—until their situation is fully normalized.
Until all proceedings are finalized, the children are treated as persons requiring special protection, and additional security measures are strongly recommended. This means the necessity of providing professional legal aid and constant security—which generates significant, unavoidable costs. Philippine services and the NBI (the local equivalent of the FBI) have confirmed that the children are not safe in their current place of residence. The murderer called the children after the tragedy and threatened: "You will be next, along with Patryk."
After the tragedy, the children were placed under the care and protection of the DSWD center—a state institution dealing with children requiring special support. Placement in such a center is a mandatory procedure intended to guarantee their safety (since they were threatened) and ensure that all further decisions are made with their well-being in mind. The children are waiting there for legal resolutions and the chance to start a new chapter in life.
Why am I raising funds and what will they be used for?
After their mother's death, the children asked me to become their guardian and take them to Poland. They want to return to school, have therapy, a sense of safety, and a normal life.
The funds will be allocated for:
● ICAB and KOA fees (adoption agencies).
● Lawyers and legal costs: approximately 1.5 million Philippine Pesos, which is about 21,600 Euro.
● Security/Protection.
● Healthcare, including psychologists and therapy.
● Flights and documents.
● Education and studies.
● Full transparency of accounts.
Why me? I want to create a peaceful home for them, provide therapy, education, and a future without violence. People reading this might wonder why I am pushing for this, why I don’t give up. I cannot have children of my own, and IVF did not help. I found a wonderful, warm woman with amazing children who accepted me, loved me, and most importantly, showed me respect and saw in me a man who is reasonable and caring. I treat them like my own; they want me to be their father again, they call me "Tata Patryk" (Dad Patryk) themselves. For someone who could not have his own children, hearing the word "Dad" allows me to experience what you, my dear friends, have every day from your own little ones. It is something incredible. Their grandparents love them very much, but they are unable to ensure their safety or financial support.
Briefly about the children:
● The oldest daughter wants to study medicine in Poland to help people like her mom did, only on a larger scale, and to possess the skills of a medical specialist.
● The son wants to become a police officer (previously he wanted to be an ocean liner captain); currently, he wants to deal with cases of defending women, because his mother reported the matter to the police multiple times, but the father's connections and the police's reluctance to help a woman led to this tragedy.
● The younger daughter has artistic and photographic talents; she is very gifted in many ways, but currently has no opportunity to see what her passion will be and in which direction her talents will stand out.
● The youngest is simply a child. She recently celebrated her birthday, and do you know what her dream from me was? "Daddy, for my birthday I would like to eat a whole chicken and have more food for my siblings." — Yes, my dears, that is what it looks like there. Not a toy, not a new doll, simply food, because they cannot always afford even meals. The grandparents cannot manage alone; I support them, but it is not always enough for full meals, and since I am not there on-site, I do not see their immediate needs. If we were together, there would be no problem.
