I am a statistically average Latvian. I graduated from Riga Technical University and have worked ever since I left university, but I haven’t managed to save anything. I’ve always lived, as the saying goes, from hand to mouth. Everything I earn goes on monthly expenses. That is why I would like to ask for financial assistance.

I am currently in a difficult situation; a new phase is about to begin in my life, I am currently looking for a two-bedroom flat and a garage, as I own a motorbike for which I am still paying off a bank loan and which I am not allowed to keep on the street.

Looking at the market, a flat costs around €40,000, whilst a garage costs €6,000. Most flats come unfurnished and without appliances, so I would also need funds to purchase these: €370 for a fridge, €300 for an induction hob, a dishwasher for €480, a vacuum cleaner for €250, a washing machine with a dryer for €520, and a double bed for €1,200. As I mentioned earlier, I am paying off a loan to the bank, with a balance of €5,000. I would like to buy a second-hand car to get to work faster; travelling by bus takes 50 minutes – €5,000.

During my annual dental check-up, my son was told he needs braces to straighten his teeth, for both the upper and lower jaws, totalling €1,300.

I would also very much like to have my own teeth sorted out; I am missing six teeth in total, so I would like to have dental implants fitted. It is difficult to estimate how much this might cost before an examination and initial consultation have been carried out, but in any case, approximately €1,100 per tooth, totalling €6,600.

That comes to a total of €67,020, so rounding up, I would like to ask for a donation of €70,000.
