The Venntrilogy Challenge: A Charity Challenge Across the Eastern Townships

Passionate about hiking and challenges, Magali and Thomas have set themselves a major goal this year: to complete the Venntrilogie in just 3 days! This legendary 109 km trail crosses the splendid fens and iconic landscapes of the Eastern Townships. You can follow them on social media at coko explore.

The start is scheduled from the Three Borders on Friday 15 August, with the finish in Butgenbach on Sunday 17 August. But that’s not all: they’ll also be walking for a good cause by supporting our non-profit organisation La Tanière Des Fagnes via an online fundraising page.

A CREAVES, or Rehabilitation Centre for Wild Animals, is a facility dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of injured, sick or orphaned wild animals. Rehabilitation centres play a vital role in preserving local biodiversity, offering a second chance to wildlife in distress whilst raising public awareness of the importance of protecting our natural environment.

The main aim of our initiative is to raise funds to enhance the reception and care capacity of our CREAVES. Every year, many wild animals fall victim to collisions, disease, habitat loss or even unintentional human actions. Our mission is to provide them with rapid, specialised assistance, enabling them to return to the wild as soon as their condition allows.

· Care and diagnosis of rescued animals, whether birds, small mammals, reptiles or amphibians.

· Veterinary care tailored to each species, ranging from treating injuries and rehydration to specialised feeding, as well as outpatient care such as wound management.

· A rehabilitation programme designed to prepare animals for their return to the wild, whilst minimising contact with humans as much as possible.

· Awareness-raising initiatives in schools, local communities and among the general public to promote harmonious coexistence between humans and wildlife.

· Through to release into the appropriate habitat for each species.

Your support through this Project is essential to enable us to continue our mission. The funds raised will be used to purchase medical equipment, improve our facilities, provide ongoing training for our team and meet the animals’ daily needs (food, medication, veterinary care, specialised equipment).
