Description
Venntrilogy Challenge: A Solidarity Challenge Across the Eastern Townships
Passionate about hiking and challenges, Magali and Thomas set themselves a major goal this year: to complete the Venntrilogie in just 3 days! This legendary 109km trail crosses the splendid fens and emblematic landscapes of the Eastern Townships. You can follow them on the coko explore social networks.
The start is scheduled from Trois Frontières on Friday 15 August, with a finish in Butgenbach on Sunday 17 August. But that's not all: they'll also be walking for a good cause by supporting our non-profit organisation La Tanière Des Fagnes via an online kitty.
Want to cheer them on? Join them on the route, walk alongside them for a few kilometres or support their fundraising campaign. Together, let's get behind a project that's close to their hearts, and turn this adventure into a show of solidarity!
A CREAVES, or Centre de Revalidation pour Espèces Animales Vivant à l'Etat Sauvage, is a structure dedicated to the reception, care and rehabilitation of injured, sick or orphaned wild animals. Rehabilitation centres play an essential role in preserving local biodiversity, offering a second chance to wildlife in difficulty while raising public awareness of the importance of protecting our natural environment.
Our main aim is to raise funds to increase the reception and care capacity of our CREAVES. Every year, many wild animals fall victim to collisions, disease, loss of habitat or unintentional human action. Our mission is to provide them with rapid, specialist assistance, enabling them to return to the wild as soon as their condition allows.
Our day-to-day work- Care and diagnosis of the animals we take in, whether birds, small mammals, reptiles or amphibians.
- Veterinary care tailored to each species, ranging from treatment of wounds to rehydration and specialised feeding, as well as ambulatory care such as wound care.
- A rehabilitation programme to prepare the animals for their return to the wild, keeping human contact to a minimum.
- Awareness-raising initiatives aimed at schools, communities and the general public to promote harmonious coexistence between humans and wildlife.
- Until the animals are released back into the appropriate biotope for each species.
Your support via this Project is essential to enable us to continue our mission. The funds raised will be used to purchase medical equipment, improve reception facilities, provide ongoing training for our team and meet the animals' daily needs (food, medicines, veterinary care, specialist equipment).
Together, we can give local wildlife another chance. Every donation, no matter how small, helps to save lives and preserve the natural wealth that surrounds us. Thank you for being part of this adventure of solidarity and giving animals the chance to regain their freedom.
