Description
Petra is a 53-day-old baby and was born with esophageal atresia, a congenital malformation in which the esophagus is interrupted.
She was also intubated because she can't eat (2ml of milk is all she drank). She is fed through a catheter that is inserted into a vein in her neck.
The picture you see is the first time Petra was weaned and met her mother for the first time, she was able to hold her baby in her arms for the first time.
In order to have a normal life, Petra needs your help. She needs life-saving surgery!
