The situation in Nagyborosnyó remains serious. Currently, more than firefighters, police officers and gendarmes, as well as local council staff, are working with large and small-capacity pumps and fire engines.

In Nagyborosnyó, they have begun pumping water out of the yards. Prior to this, another breach was cut in the embankment to allow the accumulated water to drain away.

In the village of Boroșneu Mare, water continues to flood households. At present, firefighters, assisted by police and gendarmes, are using high-capacity motor pumps, low-capacity motor pumps, fire engines and an inflatable boat to mitigate the effects of the flooding.

The process of draining water from the yards in the village of Boroșneu Mare has begun, following approval to breach the right bank of the Valea Mare stream’s embankment, 200 metres upstream from its confluence with the Covasna stream. The poor people have removed all their belongings from their homes and laid them out to dry.
