Hello, my name is PAOLA. I am 60 years old and suffer from a pituitary adenoma located in the centre of my brain, which is causing me a great many problems, including with my eyesight. I need an operation, but unfortunately I cannot afford it because, at this age, nobody wants to employ me anymore, and also because I wouldn’t be able to work given my very poor state of health. On top of this, I’ve had a malignant melanoma that required three operations, and I’ve had knee surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus; I walk on crutches and fell down the stairs, breaking three ribs. In my other knee, I have a torn cartilage causing excruciating pain, I have a large lump in my breast, slipped discs in my spine and high blood pressure. I am suffering greatly, both physically and psychologically; I need to have some medical checks but, unfortunately, I have to put them off due to financial difficulties. I am asking all of you kind-hearted people for help so that I can overcome these enormous difficulties. Thank you all for your support.
