Hello!

My name is Natalie, I am 32 years old and I am disabled since 2022.

I have already had two operations. The first operation was performed in the Ostrava hospital, they removed a prolapsed disc that was pressing on my spinal cord, unfortunately, despite the removal of the prolapsed disc, my spinal cord remained deformed.

Therefore, I had to undergo another operation to replace the disc with an implant to prevent further distortion of the already deformed spinal cord in the future.

In the thoracic spine, my spinal cord has deformed from 9 mm to 4 mm.

From the waist down I am partially paralysed, I have a big problem with walking, I walk a maximum of 700-1000m a day. Which means I can only move within 300-500m of my home.

I also have problems with normal household chores, also sitting for long periods of time. I can sit for a maximum of 2 hours.

I am in a lot of pain and sometimes suffer from incontinence.

My whole life has been reduced to the apartment I live in now and its immediate surroundings. Unfortunately the surrounding area is very unsuitable for disabled people to walk around. There are also stairs in the house which make it a big problem for me.

I am setting up the collection as I would like to find my own wheelchair accessible housing in an apartment or house in a location suitable for disabled people.

In wheelchair accessible housing I could also get a wheelchair, get a little further away from the house and independently manage small shopping trips or visits to the doctor or post office for example. I would not need to constantly use taxis and the assistance of another person.

More independence would also definitely help my mental state.
