My name is Mirijam, I am 38 years old and I have dedicated my life to rescuing and caring for animals here in Greece for six years. I have taken in and cared for countless dogs and cats and given them shelter. But now I am facing the most difficult time of my life - and I urgently need support.

After a sudden, unexpected house move, I had to fight for survival with my 22 dogs and 12 cats. Several of my charges fell seriously ill with parvovirus and corona. Despite all my efforts and medical care, I lost two beautiful puppies - a pain that I can hardly put into words. 💔

The clinic costs now amount to 2,000 euros, and I am also facing another move as a dangerous bacterium is threatening my animals. I am there for them with everything I have, but the financial burden is overwhelming.

The last six years have not always been easy, but last year was the hardest. And the start of this new year also brings great challenges. But giving up is not an option - not for me and not for the animals that depend on me.
