Hi everyone!

I’d like to share with you why I’m reaching out for help and give you a glimpse into my heartfelt dream.

My name is Virág, and I’m getting closer to the big 30 this year. But what weighs on me more is the situation I’m in and where I live. Living in Hungary, many of you may know how difficult it can be economically and in many other aspects as well. My boyfriend and I, along with our two beautiful dogs, live in a tiny rental apartment, and as you can imagine, we are quite cramped. We both work as much as we can while still trying to make time for each other and our two little furry friends.

This year, we realized we desperately need a bigger apartment, especially so my boyfriend (who works from home) can have a separate space to work in, instead of being in the same room where we all spend our time. We’ve done the math, but our incomes just don’t allow us to save fast enough to make this happen in the near future. We are happy with what we have and grateful that we can provide everything our dogs need, but my small dream is to have a place where we can all live comfortably and rest after our hard work. It would also mean the world to me if our dogs could have a little patch of green to enjoy.

The kind of apartment we need costs around €800 per month. In Hungary, with two months' deposit and the first month’s rent, we would need about €2400 to get started. My boyfriend works incredibly hard and does everything he can to make this happen for us, but if you could help us, and give me the chance to surprise him with the keys to our new home this Christmas, it would make us the happiest people in the world. Your support would mean everything to a young couple in Hungary still holding onto hope for a brighter future!

We would be incredibly grateful for any donations, and we’d love to share regular updates with you on how our apartment search is going. Once we manage to move in, we’d be happy to share a “before-and-after” photo series to show you how your help made our dream come true. We’d also like to make a list of our donors (with your permission, of course), frame it, and hang it in our new home, so we can always remember the kind people who helped us achieve this dream.
