💔 When nature takes everything...

On 28 May 2025, an avalanche destroyed almost everything in Blatten, a beautiful Alpine village in the Lötschental valley in Switzerland. A huge wave of ice, rocks and soil, triggered by the melting of the Birch glacier, covered 90% of the village. Just a few hours before, the authorities had evacuated some 300 inhabitants.

However, one person remains missing.

Homes, infrastructure, memories - they have disappeared under a tonne of rubble.

The funds raised will go to:

helping individuals and families who have lost their homes,

buying the necessities of life (food, clothing, medicine),

covering the cost of temporary accommodation,

helping to restore basic services in the community,

in the long term - rebuilding life in Blatten.

We are in contact with local residents and supporters on the ground who will pass on the funds directly to those affected.
