Description
Our names are M & G and we live in Korydallos with our three dogs.
We recently adopted our youngest and third member, Alepou, who is 8 months old. When we found him abandoned, we could only wonder who could ever leave such a little one helpless. Perhaps he was a stray, but...when we brought him home, he surprised us with his good behaviour (he obeyed basic commands and, like a proper GENTLEMAN, would slowly and gently scratch the glass of the balcony door so as not to ‘dirty’ the inside. The first time this happened, we already knew that someone had abandoned him. Almost from the very first moment, we realised that, unfortunately, he has a problem with one of his little legs and needs immediate veterinary care. He was probably hit by a vehicle when he was a puppy and then abandoned. We wouldn’t want to imagine any worse scenarios. His entire leg is misaligned from the shoulder to the paw.
We fell in love with him at first sight and welcomed him into our family. We promised we would do everything to ensure he has the best possible quality of life. Now he sleeps in our arms and we grow closer every day! No matter how much this world has hurt him, he carries on and trusts it, plays with us, runs, explores… and then night comes and he whimpers to us in complaint… he knows something isn’t right.
Due to financial difficulties, we are currently unable to cover the necessary costs of his care. Any surgery must take place urgently, as the problem is with his bones and we are talking about a creature right in the midst of his development… I am appealing to all dog owners and animal lovers out there, as I know that unity and love work wonders!
Any support, whether through care provided by a partner vet or through other assistance, would be invaluable to us and our adorable Alepoudino!
We are happy to provide any information needed regarding Alepou’s condition and to follow your advice…
Thank you in advance for your time and understanding. I hope you can help us give our little friend the care he deserves.
