Who I am and what I’m raising money for

Hello everyone! ❤️

My name is Kristýna Kadlecová, I’m 17 years old and I’m a secondary school student from the Czech Republic, where I’m studying economics. Like many other people, I have a dream that means a lot to me. My dream is to spend one school year in the United States as an exchange student.

I hope this dream will come true in August 2027 thanks to the Studyline exchange programme. I want to experience life at an American secondary school, get to know a new culture, improve my English, meet new people and test my abilities in a completely new environment.

Programme – 225,000 CZK (10,490 USD)

Visa and fees: 9,000 CZK (220 + 185 USD)

Airfare: 25,000–30,000 CZK (1,151–1,381 USD)

My current situation

A year spent on an exchange programme in the USA is an incredible opportunity, but it also involves a considerable financial burden. The total amount I need to raise is approximately 260,000 CZK (10,670 EUR).

My parents and friends support me and encourage me to pursue my dream, and I am immensely grateful to them for that. However, despite their support, it is financially difficult for my family to cover the full cost of the programme.

That is why I have decided to launch this fundraising campaign. I want to do everything in my power to make this opportunity a reality, and I hope that with the help of people who believe in my dream, I’ll be one step closer to making it come true. I’ve also included my payment details there.

Why this dream is important to me

For me, it’s about much more than just spending a year abroad. It’s an opportunity for personal growth, for greater independence, for improving my language skills, and for gaining an insight into everyday life in another country.

I believe that living and studying in the USA will teach me things I would never learn from textbooks. I would experience a different education system, make friends with people from a different culture and create memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I’m currently in my third year of secondary school, so the time I have to fulfil this dream is limited. I don’t want to look back one day and regret not having done everything in my power to make this dream come true.

I know that achieving my goal won’t be easy, but I’m prepared to work hard, save money and do everything I can to make this dream a reality. ❤️

How the funds will be used

My fundraising target is 260,000 CZK (10,670 euros). All funds raised will be used to cover the costs of my exchange year in the United States as part of the Studyline programme, which is planned for August 2027.

The money will be used to pay for eligible programme fees and services included in the programme, in accordance with the official quote and budget. I want every contributor to understand what their help is contributing to and how their support will be used.

If I am unable to raise the full amount, the funds raised will be used in accordance with the terms set by the fundraiser organiser and the platform’s rules.
