Description
Dear Friends:
We hope this letter finds you all well there with your families and beloved ones. We are a Portuguese small and poor family which is composed by me (Jesus), my wife (Emilia) and our beloved son (Rúben). We live in a small house with very poor conditions, as the photos we attached to this letter show. Me and my wife just earn the Portuguese National Minimum Wage in our jobs: Emília is a seamstress in a family clothing store and her monthly income is $915,31, and I´m a Grupo 8 private security guard and my monthly income is $1.018.
Living in Portugal with the National Minimum Wage is getting difficult more and more often as our Country is one of those ones who has more than 2.5 million poor families in a universe of 10 million inhabitants in our country. We´re currently living in my Mother-in-Law´s house, where it rains inside () , and we´re starting to drive ourselves in crazy and we definitely need to have our own simple house and to get our independence in order to have the chance to give the best possible quality of life to our beloved son. However the Portuguese social and economical realities and conditions simply stop us from saving money to buy a house in the next 5, 10 years, and, on the other hand, the bank has systematically denied us the opportunity to take out a mortgage loan, due to our low salaries and, consequently, not being able to support the effort rate included in the accounts drawn up by the bank regarding the monthly installments to be paid.
Wre a honest, humble and a hard worker family and we reached to such a poverty level due to my mother-in-law´s house conditions. That´s enough : we´re currently living in the 21st Century and we think we minimally deserve to have decent living conditions
... Due to our small monthly incomes, we consequently and obviously just can afford the expenses of a simple house... but that would be more than enough to make our lives biggest dream come true. The cheapest houses cost between 200.000 eur ($217,326) and 230.000 eur ($249,925), and the following link shows the example of a typical simple house which would be more than enough to us to live in:
We can provide as much evidences as needed about all the content we described in this letter in order to prove our poverty conditons we´re living.
Thank you so much for your concern and understanding .
With our kindest regards,
Jesus Tadeo Dias Campos (Father and Husband)
Emília Conceição Sousa Ferreira (Mother and Wife)
Rúben André Ferreira Campos (Son)
