Description
On the evening of Saturday, 16th August 2025, the life of our beloved 19-year-old Grzegorz changed forever.
Grzegorz, a final-year high school student, was driving home from work when he was involved in a serious road accident. The collision was head-on, and he sustained very severe injuries.
For a week, he was kept in a medically induced coma in the Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital in Kartuzy. His condition was critical from the start, and doctors describe his survival as a true miracle. Grzegorz suffered multiple serious injuries, including a fractured skull base, severe internal injuries requiring emergency life-saving abdominal surgery, and fractures of all four limbs. The accident also caused massive blood loss, necessitating numerous transfusions.
Currently, Grzegorz is receiving further specialist treatment at Copernicus Hospital in Gdańsk, where additional surgeries are planned.
He now faces an extremely difficult and long road ahead. Intensive rehabilitation will be crucial for his recovery. All funds raised will go entirely toward covering the costs of further medical treatment, specialist therapies, and essential equipment, helping him regain mobility, stand on his own two feet, and return to normal life.
Before the accident, Grzegorz was a healthy, energetic, passionate, and sensitive young man. He is kind-hearted and loved by family and friends. His greatest passion is photography - he recently launched his own profiles dedicated to his work with great pride: https://www.facebook.com/SleiCore and https://www.instagram.com/sleicore. Our greatest wish is to see him once again holding a camera, smiling, and standing on his own two feet.
Rehabilitation will require substantial financial resources. Encouraged by friends, we have decided to ask for your help. Every contribution brings Grzegorz closer to recovery. If you are unable to support financially, please share the fundraiser and keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
We are deeply moved by the support we have already received. Masses and prayers are being organised for Grzegorz, and dozens of colleagues, friends, and even strangers have donated blood for him. This has been a tremendous source of strength and hope for us.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for every act of kindness - a word, a prayer, or a donation.
Together, we can give Grzegorz a chance to return to health, his passions, and the life he deserves.
With gratitude,
Grzegorz’s Family
Grzegorz, I hope each new day brings you strength, comfort, and healing. Wishing you a steady recovery. You are not alone, so many people care about you and are wishing for you to get well soon.
