Description
To date, the FALA Association has saved 11 horses from certain death (not including those that have passed through our care system). Since its founding in 2011 , initially 7, and today 5 horses, have been actively participating in the therapeutic, recreational and educational programs of the FALA Association on a daily basis, bringing joy, support and strength to children, youth and adults.
Through therapeutic riding and spending time with horses, children become happier, healthier, more active and – most importantly – develop into self-confident, empathetic and great people. Horses help children with disabilities, young people and adults overcome personal “obstacles”, with the support of members, volunteers and experienced leaders, who stand behind each program of the Association with their knowledge, experience and dedication.
FALA is not just a place for therapy – it is a community. A community of people and animals connected by trust, responsibility and love. Our horses are here 365 days a year, patient, present and ready for anyone who approaches them with an open heart.
The current situation is critical due to the storm that "swept" our Association, damaged buildings, destroyed trees, work space, etc. and exposed us to unexpected and huge material costs that exceed our capabilities, considering that we are financed only by membership fees and donations from citizens.
The funds raised will be used for repairs to the work space (facilities, space, purchasing toilets, repairing roofs, general costs of performing professional work in our work environment ...), purchasing storage space for work tools that are used daily for maintenance, also improving the living conditions of the horses, volunteers and users of the association, mostly children and young people, and children and young people with difficulties and/or disabilities. It will also be used for "worn out" parts of the facilities given the new situation, all activities and finances, and will be used to restore 14-year-old wooden facilities, which have begun to depreciate, or "the ravages of time"!
We would like to thank everyone who recognizes or will recognize the value and importance of our mission and goals aimed at the well-being of horses, animals and nature, as well as the wider social and local community.
Your THANK YOU <3
