Description
Leo is a little grey bundle who was in agony by the steps of a block of flats; he could no longer eat and was in great pain. We took him in on 30 December 2024, and since then the little one has been through a lot: daily visits to the vet, a tooth extraction, tests and IV drips. He suffers from FIV (feline HIV), which affects his teeth and gums as well as his kidneys, and he is suffering from kidney failure. We’ve treated one problem only for another to crop up. But he is a strong little tomcat with a will to live who refuses to give up. You can follow his progress in the photos on my Instagram account, along with a more detailed story. We have spent 1,500 euros so far in a month and, unfortunately, he requires long-term treatment (Azodyl, 2 capsules a day, plus 2 weekly visits to the vet for intravenous treatment), which is too great a financial burden for us at the moment. He is a young, energetic tomcat; he plays, eats well, is affectionate and has become very attached to me. Together with the vets, we have decided that it is worth continuing to fight for him as he has a chance of leading a good life with this treatment (we are doing everything we can to lower his urea levels and prevent uraemic coma). We would be incredibly grateful if you could help Leo enjoy a good, peaceful life. Every little bit of help counts for him. Thank you!
