My little dachshund is called "Roma" and she is 12 years old, having turned 12 in December 2024. For over a year now, we have been battling a tumour in her mammary glands which, sadly, is not shrinking despite the chemotherapy. We have had three CT scans and various follow-up tests, but the treatment has not yielded encouraging results. I have spent everything I had without hesitation and with great love because I am alone and she is my rock; she loves me dearly and I never leave her alone for even a minute. She is afraid, but she lets me do anything when she is close to me!! I adore her, and more and more often I find I cannot hold back the tears, especially when we sleep together in the big bed, hugging each other and wrapped up in a bond that only those who love animals can understand.

After several rounds of treatment, the oncologist has run out of options to tackle the situation other than operating on her! I’m very scared, but I realise we have to do something; however, I don’t know how to cover all the necessary costs, so I’m asking for your help.

The funds currently needed for the various tests and the operation amount to at least €3,200. 

Please forgive my outburst, but I am desperate, and I would like to thank in advance anyone willing to lend a hand during this dark period in my life and in ‘Roma’s’. I just hope she won’t have to suffer too much and that she can stay by my side for a long time to come!
