The Central Buda Waldorf School and Primary School of the Arts opened its doors to children in September 2014 in the Tárogató Office Centre building in District II.

Since our foundation, we have been constantly searching for the ideal location for our school, and in the spring of 2023 we succeeded in winning a tender launched by the Local Government of Budapest’s 2nd District for the utilisation of the building that had stood empty since the summer of 2022 following the closure of the Gesztenyés-kert nursery school, thereby realising our shared dream of having our own school.

However, we had just 10 months left to renovate and extend the building.

KBWI parents have been consistently and very generous, donating more than …………………. million forints to our new school project.

Through their demolition, repair, tiling and painting work, they saved nearly ………… million forints

. The teachers handled the admissions process and the start of the school year without a building over the summer with great patience and flexibility. The contractors built the …….. sq m building in record time

to ensure that teaching could begin in the new building in time for KBWI’s 10th anniversary.

However, we are not quite there yet. We are nearing the completion of the first phase of the project, but we are now in the fortunate position that if we manage to

, a generous donor will double it!

Every forint donated will be doubled, and if we reach or exceed our target, the construction work can definitely continue!
