My name isSzimonetta Maja Telegdi, and I’ll soon be turning 11. Unfortunately, my story didn’t get off to an easy start: as a result of severe oxygen deprivation caused by medical negligence, I was born with cerebral palsy (CP). This affects my movement, my speech and my entire nervous system, and I also have to battle epilepsy and asthma day in, day out.

The past few years have been a constant struggle. I’ve undergone two major operations in Barcelona, as well as countless rehabilitation sessions and physiotherapy. There were times when we had to start all over again after I lost my previous abilities due to a severe seizure and was fitted with a feeding tube, but we never gave up! We’ve come a long way, and now there’s finally a glimmer of hope that could bring a breakthrough.

Why Mexico of all places? 🌍

We have found a treatment that is unique worldwide: Cytotron therapy. This is an innovative, quantum-based technology that regenerates the nervous system at a cellular level and helps form new neural pathways in the brain. This treatment is not available in Hungary; currently, my only chance to receive it is in Mexico. A stay abroad involves 28+4 days of intensive therapy and comprehensive hospital examinations.

The biggest obstacle: the treatment costs 18 million forints 💰
