For over a year, in addition to our two sons, we have three new daughters - we have created a foster family for three children "who have been through a lot", from a children's home. The girls are with bad memories from childhood that have not yet been worked through and a lot of neglect.

One of the girls is 15-year-old Nikola. Nikola was born into an alcoholic family, then she ended up in a foster family of relatives, who after a year gave the girl to a children's home. From the children's home, the girl came to us.

A big problem and the cause of complexes is a very strong orthodontic defect, an open bite. At first, when she smiled, it seemed like she had no teeth at all. Now it is better, thanks to the orthodontic braces that we put in her a year ago.

The defect is so big that orthognathic surgery is necessary - crushing the upper and lower jaw and putting it back together. The cost of the surgery is 15.000 EUR, not counting monthly visits to the orthodontist, speech therapist and physiotherapist. Finally she will need 3 implant tooth (ca 2000 EUR each). The money we can count on from the County Family Assistance Center is 250 EUR per year for the treatment of a child in foster care.

We are collecting money for:

- surgery costs (15.000 EUR)

- convalescence costs, including the installation of a new brace, this time adapted to the post-surgery situation (minimum 2000 EUR)

- speech therapist, physiotherapist costs (minimum 1000 EUR only until the end of the first quarter

We kindly ask for help, every, even the smallest payment counts. In addition to Nikola's teeth, we now have a lot of expenses related to all three children, they require help and tutoring at school, they have their own little dreams. We want them to finally feel safe with us.
